Mommy Relief Program

Our Mommy Relief program is designed to give help to moms with infants. It is a busy, hectic and sometimes scary time. Life can seem upside down when you get home from the hospital and it often feels that there is no place to go for assistance. We want to help!! An extra set of hands can help keep the family on track, and sometimes just allow parents to get basic tasks done. We like to say that you aren’t asking for a week in Paris, just a shower.

Whether the new baby is good as gold or colicky, your time is no longer your own! Let our staff come hold, rock, and soothe your infant or play with older children while you try to get a little rest, return a few phone calls or put laundry away. Stonehouse employees can also help keep your house tidy, make meals for your kids, or run errands for you. Who wants to put the kids in the car just to pick up the dry cleaning??

If you have the difficult situation of coming home from the hospital with an infant who has special needs, it can be hard on everyone involved (we speak from experience!). Let Stonehouse place an employee with your family to take some of the pressure off of you. We have all levels of staff–from sitter to Nursing Assistant to RN to Physical/Speech/Occupational Therapists–and can evaluate your situation to make a solid match with your family.

Screening Process
Our employees are screened thoroughly before coming to you. We interview each candidate, perform a background check and conduct reference evaluations on each candidate. If the candidate is licensed or certified in any particular field, we verify his or her license or certification.

The program was started by three mothers and we do the interviewing. At the end of each interview, we ask ourselves if this is a person we’d be comfortable having watch our own children. If so, we can go forward with a placement.
